DC Paint Solutions are pleased to offer you our newest tried and tested product DC Chalk Board Paint. This paint comes in a 1 pack Jet Black Satin finish paint which you can apply to any wooden substrate, without the need of applying a primer. To apply, please clear any debris of the substrate and any chemical or oil based residues. Dry the substrate and then add two coats of the Chalk Board paint. Leave to cure for at least 1 hour at room temperature (please note: if the temperature is colder it may take longer to cure). Once the substrate is dry to the touch you are ready to use as you see fit. The cans will spray around 1 meter squared per can.

MUST NOT be applied around children

Characteristics

• Excellent adhesion on aluminium and its alloys, zama (zinc+aluminium+magnesium), brass and epoxy primers (a previous adhesion test is always recommended)
• Excellent light resistance
• Only metallic and mica colours of this basecoat can also be overcoated with soft-touch clearcoat

Substrate Preparation

Aluminium and its alloys, mama (zinc+aluminium+magnesium), brass: degreasing with 00695 silicone remover slow followed by blowing.

LS945 2K GRIP BASE (derived from binder 29945) 1000 parts

29355 LECHSYS ACRITOP STANDARD HARDENER 100 parts

00825 (Standard) -00824 (Slow) LECHSYS UNIVERSAL THINNERS 500 parts

Pot life at 20°C : 4 hours

Spray viscosity at 20 °C: 16-18” DIN 4

Recommended spray temperature: above 5°C under 30°C

Ø Air cap: 1,2 mm

Air pressure: 3,5 Atm

N° of coats: 2-3

Recommended film thickness: 20-30 μ

Theoretical coverage: 1 kg of mixture = 7.3 mÇ at 25 μ

1 l of mixture = 6.7 mÇ at 25 μ

V.O.C. of the mixture ready for use: ~ 750 g/l

Drying Time

Air drying at 20°C :

Overcoatable with clearcoat after 20 min.
